Getting closer

Well, a ticket has been purchased and I have a visa...just not to Angola yet. I leave on September 15th to Gabon to work at Bongolo hospital while I wait for my visa to Angola. I'm excited! I'll be getting to Africa and I'll get to stay with an old friend from medical school, Wendy Hoffman and her husband. And it's about time, I learned a new language. But who invented French??? Why do they only say half of the letters that are actually written? I have increased my vocabulary...instead of just saying "Hercule Poirot", I can now say "I am a general surgeon" in French. :)
